A girl is running through the woods, being chased by something. She finally stops and hides by a tree. Then it catches up with her and cuts off her head.
Sam and Dean are driving down the Road YES in the impala, it is back. Dean is just over the moon. Sam makes a comment to Dean and tells him and the car to get a room (lol).
After talking to the local sheriff, Sam and Dean visit the morgue, dressed in whitelab coats, to check for clues for the girl that had her head cut off, after the normal brotherly bickering of who will check it Sam looks into her mouth and they realize that she has vampire fangs!
After a beer and finding out some information in a bar the boys leave -with somebody following them. They turn around and Dean holds his knife to the mans throat. They think at first he is a vampire until he says his name is Gordon and another hunter. After a little chit chat they go their separate ways.
Gordon now has found a vampire and starts to fight with him, Gordon is soon overpowered by the vampire who's got his head under a big saw, the vampire starts to pull it down when Sam pulls Gordon out. Dean starts fighting with the vampire, he gains control and puts his head under the saw and cuts it off. There is blood all over Dean’s face.
Sam, Dean and Gordon are in a bar; Dean seems to be quite excited about the kill of the vampire. Sam's not very happy and says he is going to leave and goes back to the motel. Dean and Gordon carry on talking, Gordon tells Dean about how he became a hunter, and Dean admits to Gordon that he his not handling his dad’s death too well and that he needs to keep his game face on for Sammy!
Sam calls Ellen and asks if she knows Gordon, she does....Sam tells her they have been working on a case and she quickly tells him not to work with Gordon and that he's dangerous.
Sam is getting a drink from an outside machine when he hears a noise. He goes back inside, gets attacked and knocked out.
Sam wakes up tied and gagged, the guy goes over to Sam and fangs start to come out. A girl called Lenore comes in and tells him to leave Sam alone, she starts talking to Sam and telling him that they don't kill humans, only cattle. After they finish talking she lets Sam go.
Sam gets back to the motel to find Dean and Gordon looking at a map. Dean asks Sam where he has been and Sam tells him he wants to talk to him alone outside. They go outside and Sam tells them he's been to the nest and they let him go unhurt, he tells Dean that the vampires are not killing humans and they shouldn’t go after them, Dean is not impressed and they start rowing about Gordon, Sam says that he is NO substitute for Dad. Just when you think Dean is walking away he turns around and punches Sam in the face.
Meanwhile Gordon was listening to the whole conversation……
They go back to find that Gordon as gone and has taken the keys to the Impala. Dean has to hotwire the car and they go after Gordon.
Gordon had tied up Lenore, he his cutting her with a knife which is covered in dead mans blood (which is poison to vampires). Sam and Dean walk in.
After a heated discussion Sam and Dean realize that Gordon knew all the time that the vampire wasn't hurting humans, he does however hold a serious grudge against all vampires since his sister was taken and turned by one. Gordon grabs Sam's arm and cuts it, dripping the blood into Lenore’s mouth her fangs come out and she's starting to show her old vampire ways then she says NO NO! Sam pushes Gordon away and unties Lenore and takes her home. After a short while Dean and Gordon start to fight, once Dean has taken control of the fight he ties up Gordon.
It’s now morning and before they leave Gordon is still tied up and Dean hits him one last time.
Outside the nest Dean tells Sam to hit him. The boys have a small heart to heart, (Dean worries that their dad just taught them to kill everything, when not everything supernatural is evil), before leaving.
